Satan’s always attempting to misconstrue or smother
The Bible and its contents, be it one way or another.
Sometimes he does it boldly, other times he’s more subtle,
But however he does it, it’s in order to Scripture scuttle.
And such treachery he employs via the Da Vinci Code,
Or via The Passion Of The Christ, for he'll use any mode.
The uncommitted Christian, or the Christian uninformed,
Is shaken or misled by such things, written or performed.
Sadly, The Passion Of The Christ distorts Scripture’s portrayal
Of our Lord's crucifixion, His last moments and betrayal.
Bible-believing Christians should be seriously concerned,
For the devil, via this movie, truth doctored and truth spurned.
And error by the bucket load via the Da Vinci Code
Has Christian and non-Christian treading another false road.
This novel is being used by the master of such fiction,
Whose evil library houses his historical collection.
Satan’s building false paths that he wants everyone to tread,
Hoping that (ultimately) all will follow him instead.
Because he hates the Bible that leads to the One who’s true,
He bonds its truth with error, using sacrilegious glue.
Prior to our Saviour's return, waves of error we will see,
For Truth that He has given, the devil hates obsessively.
Thus, he’s been very busy doing everything he can,
To mix or replace God’s Word with the foolish words of man.
Hence, books and movies mentioned, have a truth and error mix,
That Satan very cleverly finances and selects.
He knows how to bring about what will aid his End-time plans,
So beware! For his skullduggery, this earth’s history spans.
Truth that’s adulterated, prudent Christians won’t support,
For they know that Satan such corruption has always sought.
Despite what truth there may be in such movies and such books,
It’s corrupted truth, which is one of Satan's favourite hooks.
Books and movies as mentioned, will soon be followed by more,
As Satan’s far from finished waging his revengeful war.
He’s taking the world by storm, for he knows his time is short,
And he’s doing his very best to see everyone gets caught.
He’ll use any means he can in an effort to ensnare,
Like these books and movies that entice folk into his lair.
And judging by the reception that such books and movies get,
It seems that the old devil will catch many in his net.
When mystics are consulted regarding Christ’s crucifixion,
It only stands to reason there’ll be truth merged with fiction.
And that's why The Passion Of The Christ doesn’t gel with Scripture,
For biblically and historically it paints a faulty picture.
The Da Vinci Code also, wasn’t divinely inspired,
For this creation too, was something only Satan desired.
He knew how such would impact at a time when earth was ripe,
For never before it seems, have so many swallowed such tripe.

The movie, ‘The Passion Of The Christ’.
Just a few facts from the many, regarding errors in the movie.
Not necessarily in order.
In, and according to the movie, but NOT according to the Bible —
Satan is presented as a female.
Mary is seen rescuing her falling Son when He was a child.
In the garden Christ looks scary, His face and hair covered with mud and grease.
Satan appears in physical form. A serpent comes out of him,
creeps toward Christ, and nearly bites Christ. Christ stands up
and crushes the serpents head.
A girl wipes Christ’s face.
Christ says "Let this chalice pass from me", not "cup" as in God's Word. This error is significant.
In the garden Christ is bound with a heavy chain and beaten by soldiers.
As Christ is being brutalized in the garden, Mary, at home, awakens
from her sleep and makes some supposedly significant comment.
Jewish children throw stones at Judas when he is on his way to hanging himself.
Christ is thrown off a bridge by the Pharisees, when He is on His way
to Pilate, and then pulled back up via a chain that’s around His waist.
Mary is dressed like a Medieval nun, not like a Jewish woman living at that time.
Mary kisses the floor above where Christ is imprisoned.
Mary makes a comment to Christ during His scourging. A cat-o’-nine tails with metal barbs is used.
Mary and Mary Magdalene are given clothes by Pilate’s wife to mop up Christ’s blood.
Mary asks Pilate’s wife if she can do something to have Roman soldiers
protect Christ from the angry crowd. Pilate’s wife then acts on
behalf of Mary.
An effeminate Herod is depicted.
Christ falls three times due to the weight of the cross. The Scriptures do not explicitly mention falls.
Christ walks 14 supposed ‘Stations of the Cross’.
Via eye contact, Mary infuses mystical power on her Son.
Mary meets up with Peter on a street after he has denied Christ. Peter
falls on his knees, calls Mary “Mother”, tells her of his wrong, and
asks her forgiveness.
A wild riot breaks out; Christ is brutally beaten by all; Romans and
Jews fight wildly, as Christ is dragging His cross to Calvary.
Soldiers call Christ “Kings of worms”.
Simon of Cyrene and Christ carry the cross together.
Mary kisses Christ’s feet as He hangs on the cross.
A crow pecks out the eye of the unrepentant thief.
Christ has a destroyed eye. His body is a bloodied pulp.
Christ’s mother, Mary Magdalene, and John, take Christ’s body down from the cross.
Jews watch as their temple splits in two and sections of it collapse,
due to the earthquake that occurred at Christ’s death. Neither the
Bible or history indicates any such thing happened to their temple.
Mary is present in all the major episodes, given an exaggerated and
exalted role, and clearly presented as a co-redemptrix and
mediatrix.
Further comments —
This movie does not present the traditional protestant view of Christ’s sacrifice.
This movie is largely based on the visions of two mystics — St. Anne
Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824) and Mary of Agreda (1602-1665), hence
why it is littered with historical inaccuracies.
Unlike the Scriptures, this movies focus, is on the bloody, violent,
gruesome, torturous, and painful. It is gore from beginning to
end. And relentlessly so. This movie seems obsessed with such,
rather than with any message of love. And the resurrection of
Christ, is virtually non-existent. The Gospel writers do not
linger or dwell on the details of Christ’s suffering. As
Christians, we are to focus on Christ’s life of obedience, His
sacrificial death, resurrection, intercession, and victorious return as
our King.
The movie focuses on Christ’s physical suffering where as the Scriptures focus on His spiritual suffering.
To expose children to the appalling violence in this movie, is to act extremely irresponsibly.
All the Jewish people seen in the film are portrayed dreadfully. The movie overlooks the presence of Jews [including Jewish leaders]
and Romans that believed in, accepted, and supported Christ. It appears
that about half of the Jewish population, living in the city of
Jerusalem, accepted Christ as their expected Messiah.
Watching
such movies as ‘The Passion Of The Christ’ and the ’Da Vinci Code’
without knowing the correct biblical and historical facts, can lead to
one accepting as fact, what in reality is actually fiction.
"Do not add to His words or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar."
Prov 30:6 (NASB)
And —
Playing the role of any divine Being is biblically and ethically wrong.
Christ was never impersonated by early Christians. Early
Christians realized that to do so, was to bring God down to a level
that would violate His majesty and purity. Thus, none of the
early Christians during the first four centuries, involved themselves
in the likes of Passion Plays. In fact, no pictures of Christ
were drawn by the early Christians either. Hence, the fish and
anchor symbols used. This was all in accordance with the second
commandment.
However, things gradually changed, because Gentile Christians coming
into the church brought their pagan beliefs and practices with
them. Protestants round the time of the Reformation strongly
rejected the likes of Passion Plays, images, etc.
